Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
An Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that can restore the heart rhythm in case of a cardiac arrest. This is done by giving an electric shock.
We will survive together!
It can happen to you too! An employee, client/guest, neighbour or even someone unknown can suddenly drop down with a cardiac arrest. Do you know how to help the victim as soon as possible?
The Heart Foundation wants an AED to be available in case of a cardiac arrest everywhere in the Netherlands, within six minutes, as every minute is crucial!
Let us advise you, we bear responsibility together.
Did you know that? Three hundred Dutch people are affected by a sudden cardiac arrest outside the hospital every week? Less than 10% survives.
AED is only useful with proper maintenance
High costs and ignorance ensure that many AEDs are poorly maintained. Entrepreneurs sometimes hang up the life-saving shock device in their building, but barely look after it. Een Veilig Gevoel BV sees to the placement and the annual maintenance. If the AED is used unexpectedly before or after this annual maintenance, the pads will be replaced free of charge.
The AED device clearly explains the reanimation actions with the press of a button, making it ideal for people without reanimation experience. Anyone can operate the device!
